ANDREW KIRTLEY (46)

I have been cycling for over 15 years now after quitting smoking I bought my first bike and that was it, hooked for life!

I belong to the Velo Teifi cycling club based in Cardigan, we have a Tuesday and Sunday run every week in the summer, great bunch and much enjoyed by all.

We have all been touched by cancer in our lives and I am sure that I am not the only person to have witnessed a loved one pass away from this terrible diease, thats why Macmillan is our chosen charity for this trip so please support us as much as you can.

I have been mainly mountainbiking for 12 years, after retiring from motocross which I competed in for 10 years.

 After meeting up with Tracy and Andy at a family gathering I caught the mountainbiking bug from Andy!!

 I ride every weekend with a group of friends, mainly riding around Breadon hill but I also do some distance rides in the Cotswolds now.

I am doing this in memory of my Dad who died from Cancer in May 2005, I hope we can raise lots for Macmillan Cancer Care who I feel are a very worthwhile cause.
